A sunny outlook for the climate

Want to protect the climate while driving your whole family in uninhibited automotive freedom? No problem! Over the next few years, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will systematically expand its product portfolio to embrace zero emissions. At the origin – and beating heart – of the brand is one of automotive history’s most beloved icons: the VW Bus. And in the summer of 2021, the seventh-generation Bus will be launched as the best multivan ever, immediately available as a plug-in hybrid suitable for long-distance travel. Just one year later, this will be followed by the all-electric ID. BUZZ and ID. BUZZ Cargo, both based on Volkswagen’s MEB platform. Mesmerizing moments! Electric mobility will never be the same again, as the new Bus redefines comfort and smart everyday practicality for total driving freedom. The ID. BUZZ will also be the Group’s first vehicle capable of transporting people and goods autonomously, that is, without a driver. These truly exciting new chapters in the colorful history of the VW Bus will deliver a powerful emotional boost to climate-friendly e-mobility…
